The project proposed the mapping and the evaluation of the ecosystem services in the Divici-Pojejena wetland, Caraș-Severin county, by using the European Union (EU) recommendations provided in the Mapping and Assessment of Ecosystem Services (MAES) reports, regarding the objectives of Action 5 of the EU Biodiversity Strategy. The results of the project are addressed to national and local public authorities and administrations, to scientific communities, to non-governmental organization, (NGOs) as well to the public. The final goal of the project was to highlight the natural, scientific, recreational and economical value of wetland ecosystems and the goods and services offered by them, as well as the role and importance of their sustainable management for biodiversity and the socio-economic development of society.
