The Laboratories Department within INCDPM, is equipped with the most advanced facilities, in accordance with international research standards, being able to serve the requests on environmental protection by assessing the quality of environmental factors as: WATER, AIR and SOIL, in order to comply with the obligations deriving from the process of the acquis communautaire provisions’ implementation
The LABORATORIES Department had implemented the integrated management of information system within the LIMS laboratory (Laboratory Information Management System).
Area of competence:
- Water quality assessment by determining organic and inorganic micropollutants; Development of experimental methods, in situ measurement methodologies, integrated monitoring; assessment and improvement of techniques, methods and standards for determining water pollutants; Biological and microbiological monitoring; Assessment of environmental behaviour and ecotoxicological profile of harmful substances/products; Testing the absorbent products used in accidental pollution
- Air quality assessment by determining organic and inorganic micropollutants Development of experimental methods, in situ measurement methodologies; assessment and improvement of techniques, methods and standards for determining air pollutants; Microbiological monitoring on the contamination of air within certain enclosures/buildings; Pollutant modelling and dispersion using a model of pollutant transport which involves pollutant chemical transformations in air.
- Soil quality assessment by determining organic and inorganic micropollutants; Development of experimental methods, in situ measurement methodologies, integrated monitoring; assessment and improvement of techniques, methods and standards for determining soil pollutants;
