Natural and Technological Hazards
Fields of competence
- Basic and applied research in the field of global warming and analysis of events produced by natural or anthropic phenomena with destructive power which affect both natural environment and human activities.
- Elaboration of studies and research for the protection against the destructive action of water, and value water potential in relation with the requirements of sustainable development of society and in line with the strategy and environmental policies.
- Elaboration of studies and research for environmental risk assessment, prediction, prevention, and reduction of its effects:
- removal of environmental effects in case of industrial accidents, natural disasters
- optimization of information flows to release decision making, in case of special events
- prevention of accidental pollution
- Monitoring of buildings and land
